It’s summertime in Aiken and the weather is prime for grabbing an iced coffee from your favorite local coffee shop or dining out on the patio while live music fills the streets. We love seeing how the change in season brings out the buzz of local diners and restaurant goers and so we wanted to hear it from you: What is your favorite thing about the food and drink scene here in Aiken?
“I think the fact that Aiken’s food scene has grown into what it is today is incredible. You still get all the options of fine dining and wine pairings to laid back, authentic Italian pizza. It’s literally the best of both worlds!”
— Susan B.
“We are in a season of life that constitutes fast, easy meals. We typically go to Blue Collard or What’s Cookin’ for delicious grab and go meals. It’s been a lifesaver for my family, not to mention delicious!”
— Cindy B.
“Board in Aiken is perhaps my favorite go to for parties or just a random treat for yourself! They had me at charcuterie!”
— Ashley D.
“I love that Aiken has so much to offer. We love Thai food and often grab our favorite right here in town!”
— Kyle S.
“The Alley Taproom is one of my hometown favorites offerings. Not only are they a laid back environment, but a great place to try all different types of craft beer!”
— Samuel T.
“I’m a coffee snob and New Moon is always my go-to stop. They roast their own beans and have some of the best avocado toast!”
—Alyssa B.
“The food scene here is incredible! After the past 2-3 years, I’ve seen a huge growth in the restaurant and bar scene. You can literally get anything you want: seafood, Italian, and American to name a few.”
— Nikki T.
“Cork and Cap has been a great addition to Aiken. I like craft beer and the options they offer has helped me to increase my palate.”
— Lindsey K.
“Whiskey Alley is one of my favorite spots to eat downtown. Their burger, beer, and whiskey deal is hands down the best deal in town!"
— Thomas A.
“I love The Willcox and the vibe it gives Aiken. Some nights we have a nice dinner, while others we eat in the lobby off of the bar menu. Needless to say, it’s always a great atmosphere and food!”
— Joyce B.
“I used to go to Augusta, GA to look for a variety in food choices and restaurants, but Aiken has really shown up. I think the restauranteurs here have a great intuitive measure as to what people are looking for and they are actively delivering!”
— Shelley H.
